Privacy Policy
This policy explains what 1 Arc Power, LLC ("1AP", "we") collects through 1ap.com, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to this website and the emails we send from it.
Last updated October 2026
The short version
- We collect what you send us through our forms, plus statistics about how the site is used.
- We use Google Analytics to measure traffic, with Google's advertising features switched off. We run no advertising pixels or social media tracking.
- Visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland get no analytics cookies at all.
- We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, Google Analytics does not load and we do not record your visit at all.
- We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, using the form below.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, company, work email, the reason you are writing and your message.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address, and your name and company if you add them. You can sign up on the home page, or by ticking the box on the contact form. The box is never ticked for you. If you ask us directly, for example at an event or by email, we may add you ourselves.
- Privacy requests: your name, email address, the request you are making and any details you add.
- Email: anything you send us directly.
Information collected automatically
- When you send a form: your IP address and browser details, kept only for a short time to stop spam and abuse, and the country and the organization that operates the network you sent it from.
- When you visit: the pages you view and their titles, the site or campaign that referred you, your screen width, browser, operating system and device type, how long you stay on a page and how far you scroll, your approximate location (city, region, country) and the organization that operates the network you visit from (for example a company, a university or an internet provider). Your IP address is used for a moment to work these out and is not stored with your visit.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, financial account details, precise location, health information or biometric data. Please do not send it to us.
Job applicants: applications for open roles are made through our recruiting provider, Greenhouse, and are handled under the applicant privacy notice shown when you apply, not this policy.
How we use it
- To answer your message and follow up on the conversation you started.
- To send the newsletter you signed up for, until you unsubscribe.
- To understand which pages are useful and how people find the site, so we can improve it.
- To keep the site and our forms secure, and to stop spam, fraud and abuse.
- To respond to privacy requests, meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) that identify your browser to our Google Analytics account, and it sends Google your page views, referrer, device and browser details, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Google acts as our service provider for this.
- We have switched off Google signals and ad personalization, so this data is not used to build advertising profiles or linked to your Google account.
- Google Analytics does not load at all if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, or if you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
- You can block it with Google's opt-out browser add-on or your browser's cookie settings.
Our own visit statistics
Alongside Google Analytics, the site keeps its own visit statistics without cookies or anything stored in your browser. Our server turns your IP address and browser details into a one-way code using a random key that is replaced every day. The old key is then deleted, so we can tell that two page views on the same day came from the same browser, but we cannot recognize you from one day to the next, and the code cannot be turned back into your IP address.
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also measures page load speed and visit counts with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track you across sites.
Other cookies
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that traffic is from a real person. Our team's sign-in pages use a strictly necessary session cookie that only applies to staff. We do not use advertising cookies, and other companies do not collect information about your activity across websites through this site.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor both signals. When your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC), Google Analytics does not load, any Google Analytics cookies from earlier visits are removed, the site does not record your visit in our own statistics, and we treat GPC as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing else to switch off.
Your browser is sending Global Privacy Control. Your opt-out is being honored: Google Analytics is off and this visit is not being recorded.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to respond to you, to send the newsletter you asked for, to keep the site secure, and to meet our legal obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
How we protect it
- Every connection to 1ap.com is encrypted with HTTPS, and browsers are told to always use it.
- Form submissions are stored in Cloudflare's database, which is encrypted at rest. Only named 1AP staff accounts can see them.
- The site runs a strict content security policy, so only 1AP's own code can run on its pages.
- Forms are protected against spam and abuse with rate limits and filtering.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we keep in the first place.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including in California, you have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you, how we got it, why we use it and who we disclose it to, and get a copy of it.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to some legal exceptions.
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share it, and we honor Global Privacy Control automatically.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect it.
- Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights.
You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time with the link in every email.
How requests work
- We confirm we have your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, up to another 45 days, we will tell you why.
- To protect you, we verify requests to access, correct or delete information before acting on them, usually by confirming you control the email address the information is tied to. We may ask for a little more information if needed, and we use it only to verify you.
- You can use an authorized agent. We will ask the agent for your signed permission and may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
- If we cannot fulfill a request, we will tell you why. If you disagree with our decision, reply to our response and a different member of our team will review it.
